Dubai-based telecommunications operator -du – has joined the Telefonica Partners Program to enhance its operational capabilities and expanding its reach.

The program connects over 65 markets across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa.

Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Executive Officer at du, said that the partnership aims to position the UAE as a global leader in innovation.

“By integrating with the global digital ecosystem, du seeks to enrich its offerings and contribute positively to the nation’s digital landscape.”

Mark Evans, Chief Strategy & Development Officer at Telefonica, highlighted the importance of this strategic partnership in pursuing growth and fostering industry collaboration.

“The agreement paves the way for exploring joint business opportunities across various domains, including B2B, B2C, innovation, procurement, and digital services. Both organizations are optimistic that this collaboration will create significant value for their customers and stakeholders.

Additionally, du’s membership in Alaian, an international telecom alliance comprising eleven major global members, further amplifies its collaborative potential.
