Emirates has formalised a preliminary agreement with Crypto.com, as disclosed in a statement by the airline’s parent company on Wednesday. The partnership will enable Emirates’ clientele to utilise Crypto.com’s payment service for transactions.

Anticipated to be implemented in the coming year, the collaboration is strategically designed to engage with emerging demographics, specifically “younger, tech-savvy customer segments who prefer digital currencies,” according to Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ deputy president and chief commercial officer.

The initiative aligns with the United Arab Emirates’ growing prominence as a hub for cryptocurrency enterprises, as evidenced by the increasing adoption of cryptocurrencies for various payments within the region.
