Prime Minister Narendra Modi said responsible and inclusive adoption of artificial intelligence will be vital to accelerating India’s journey to developed-nation status, calling AI a force reshaping industries and opening new avenues for productivity and innovation.
In a message to the AI Innovation Summit organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in New Delhi, Modi said the accounting and financial professions are undergoing rapid technology-driven change. When used responsibly and aligned with human judgement, AI tools can boost efficiency, strengthen compliance, enable better decision-making and help professionals deliver greater value, he said.
Modi’s message was read at the summit’s inaugural session. He reiterated the government’s broader efforts to make India a developed nation by 2047 and lauded the contribution of chartered accountants to the economy.
As India embraces the AI era, he said he is confident the CA fraternity will uphold high standards of integrity while leading innovation and excellence in the financial sector, contributing to the building of Viksit Bharat.
