Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Thursday that it has secured a mega order to build what it describes as India’s largest single-cluster AI infrastructure.
The project will deploy 10,000 NVIDIA B300 GPUs at its Chennai data centre campus for Together AI, a US-based AI cloud company. The order has been classified in the range of Rs10,000 crore to Rs15,000 crore, marking one of the most significant AI infrastructure contracts in the country to date.
The project signals L&T’s formal entry into the AI Factory business, as the engineering and construction giant expands its footprint in AI infrastructure. The facility will support Together AI’s AI-native cloud platform, catering to large-scale AI training, inference, and fine-tuning workloads.
By combining its established data centre capabilities with cutting-edge accelerated computing, L&T is positioning itself at the heart of India’s emerging AI economy.
The AI Factory will be developed by LTN Compute, L&T’s AI infrastructure subsidiary and part of Vyoma.AI, and will be hosted at Vyoma’s Chennai data centre campus. This development underscores a broader strategic push by the company to move beyond conventional infrastructure and into the specialised domain of high-performance AI computing.
A Gigawatt-scale vision
The Chennai campus is planned as a gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure site, reflecting the scale of ambition behind the project. Its first phase is designed for 250 MW, with power infrastructure readiness of 150 MVA. This substantial power capacity is intended to allow the company to expand AI Factory capacity in the future as demand for computing continues to accelerate.
The infrastructure will integrate data centre capacity with accelerated computing, high-performance networking, ultra-low-latency interconnects, parallel storage, and AI infrastructure operations.
The platform is designed to allow customers to deploy and scale AI workloads through a single, unified infrastructure stack—simplifying what has traditionally been a complex and fragmented process.

LTN Compute is developing AI-ready digital infrastructure across India, spanning hyperscale AI data centres, sovereign cloud platforms, AI Factory services, GPU-as-a-Service, and managed AI platforms. The company stated that these services will cater to governments, enterprises, cloud providers, and AI companies as demand for computing infrastructure continues to grow.
